Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Client Manager / Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is critical to our firm’s growth, responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing accounting and tax services, and providing strategic tax and business planning guidance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, a growth-oriented mindset, and a passion for small business success. This position is well-suited for professionals looking to advance their careers with the potential to move into a partnership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Understand each client’s unique business needs and provide proactive guidance.
- Communicate complex tax and financial concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
Tax and Bookkeeping Advisory Services:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
- Sign tax returns as a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent, or prepare to take on signing responsibilities.
- Provide clients with proactive tax planning, compliance, and strategic business advice.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings, operational optimization, and long-term business growth.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and develop junior accountants and support staff.
- Assist in training team members on best practices, technology tools, and client service.
- Provide leadership in project management and client engagements.
Process Improvement and Technology:
- Leverage technology to streamline accounting and tax processes, enhancing client service and efficiency.
- Stay current on industry trends, tax regulations, and technology advancements.
- Implement process improvements that drive firm growth and client satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting or tax preparation services.
- CPA license preferred, or actively pursuing CPA certification. Enrolled Agent (EA) credentials also considered.
- Proven success in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
- Experience signing tax returns, or readiness to take on signing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial statement correlations.
- Experience managing people and processes, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
- Tech-savvy with experience in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks, Payroll Relief, or similar tools is a plus).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation is commensurate with background and experience.
- Base compensation range: $60k - $75k+
